Hawksnest Resort: Hawksnest Resort has become one of the biggest snow tubing operations on the East Coast. The resort boasts up to 20 lanes ranging from 400 to 1000 feet long so the whole family can enjoy the ride.

Linville Falls: Accessible only by trail, Linville Falls are spectacular sights to behold. Several falls from the Linville River drop into a deep gorge creating a dramatic mist. The falls have the largest volume of water of any waterfall on the northern edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
- Linville Caverns: Located 15 miles south of Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns offer a wondrous look inside Humpback Mountain. Stalactites and stalagmites have developed into some interesting formations such as the Frozen Waterfall and the Franciscan Monk. Linville Caverns are interesting and educational sights for the whole family.
