There is a lovely indoor pool and whirlpool, but no outdoor pool. I am unaware of any public-access outdoor pools nearby.

No, but the rooms have full kitchens, and there are charming restaurants nearby.

Our favorite Festiva resort is Blue Ridge Village in Banner Elk, NC. We go there  yearly. We usually spend Christmas there. Thank you for continuing to make it better. The updating there is the best we've seen at any resort, anywhere.
